This mouse has an ultra precise 4000 DPI twin laser sensor, a boosted internal 128k Sentinel-X memory, and the
Storm Tactics Multiplier key. Designed for total customization, with heavy macro and script capabilities inside.
Extra buttons allowing for hotkeys, shortcuts and macros can greatly increase performance, since once
programmed, they are always at hand. A high dots per inch (DPI) sensor enhances precision for the most accurate
aiming. Furthermore, what makes a good mouse an even greater investment is that it does not get outdated as quickly
as some computer hardware components do.
Conclusion:
The Cooler Master Storm Inferno isn't perfect, especially when it comes down to comfort. First, its glossy
surface where the palm of the hand rests does not allow air to circulate, so that palm can get sweaty very easily
in intense gaming. Secondly, the location of its Storm Tactics button which doubles the possible number of
programmed actions is amiss. Pressing it requires displacing the hand. This is definitely not a good thing to do in
the middle of a fight. The overall shape however is very comfortable and feels natural. The one thing that the
Inferno merits praise for, however, is its software customization. It can execute complex macros and scripts
created by the user.
Test Setup :
- CPU : AMD Athlon II X4 610e
- Graphics Card : ATI HD 5870
- HDD : Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB
- Mainboard : ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO
- Memory : DDR3-1600MHz Corsair Dominator GT
- OS : Windows 7 x64
Compared to :
- Gigabyte GM-M8000
- Microsoft Razer Habu
Comfort:
Its shape is very comfortable and has a good volume that fills a hand quite nicely.
Software and scripsts:
In the software Library tab, one can save macros and scripts to files on the computer. The files are saved with the
.sh extension and can be executed on the Inferno only.
